EXCLUSIVE: Interview with One of Our District 13 Representative Candidate

We obtained interviews with one of our representative candidates, Kevin Coughlin (R). We reached out to Shontel Brown and Emilia Sykes (both D), but they declined to comment. Here are the questions that we asked them:

  1. What motivated you to run for the House of Representatives, and what are the top three priorities you plan to address if elected?

  2. How do you plan to support education in the United States? Do you believe that there should be limits on what is taught in schools? 

  3. There are many concerns about immigration and the impact that illegal migrants have on the country. What policies should be implemented to fix these concerns?

  4. Many young people are concerned about the future of healthcare. What is your stance on making healthcare more available for Americans?

  5. How do you think the United States should engage with foreign policy? What are your stances on funding Israel and Ukraine?

  6. Abortion is a very pressing issue right now. What is your stance on the issue? At what level do you think the issue should be legislated?

  7. What is your position on gun control, and how would you address the issue of gun violence, especially in schools and public places?

  8. How do you plan to support the national economy with policies and laws?

  9. How would you work to bridge the political divide and encourage bipartisan cooperation on key issues?

  10. What do you see as the biggest or one of the biggest challenges facing America today?
